Role
Chief Business Development and Wellness Officer
Working alongside Founder David H. Gilmour, a serial entrepreneur and the founder of FIJI Water, I played a key role in driving revenue growth, leading product development, building partnerships, and managing media relationships. I also served as the on-air personality for Wakaya Perfection's bi-monthly segments on HSN. In 2015, I achieved an 89% increase in the HSN business, resulting in substantial revenue growth and a nomination for Wakaya Perfection as a contender for HSN's prestigious "Most Innovative Partner" Award.
In my role, I successfully secured highly profitable distribution deals for Wakaya Perfection with top-tier retailers such as Harrods of London, Mandarin Oriental Hotels, Four Seasons Hotels, Saks Fifth Avenue, Williams-Sonoma, HSN, and more. I also built a loyal network of Celebrity Chef Ambassadors who contributed exclusive recipes to the culinary collection.
I also established the Wakaya Perfection Collaboration Suite, which involved developing co-branded premium products with esteemed partners such as Abercrombie & Kent, Deepak Chopra, Tumbador Chocolates, and POP! Gourmet Popcorn. These brand affiliations resulted in significant revenue growth and enhanced brand exposure for Wakaya Perfection.
Additionally, I secured Wakaya Perfection's inclusion in Oprah's Favorite Things Holiday Gift Issue twice (in 2012 and 2014) and led the development and publishing of three books: Every Day with Ginger Recipe Book, Every Day with Turmeric Recipe Book, and Life Recipes Cookbook featuring Celebrity Chefs from around the world.
